The Important Things in Life

Tonight, I am going to the mall to get a pedicure.

I do not normally pedicure my feet.  My feet are tickle-ish.  Plus I don't like those cuticle clipper thingies.  And economically speaking, I'm pretty good at painting my toes myself.

But this weekend, I must have beautiful toes.  Because I will be wearing this dress:

and these shoes...
to my little brother's wedding.  And I must have toes that match the occasion.

The only question is...what color?

My mom suggested red, but I thought I might end up looking a little too patriotic.

Then I was thinking french.  But don't you think that french pedicures just make you look like you reeeeeally need to clip your toe-nails?  Or is that just me?

Maybe silver?

Blue?

Blue with a white flower?

What about orange?

(Just wanted to see if anyone was still paying attention).

Stay tuned for further discussion on whether I should wear a sparkly barrette in my hair.  So much to ponder.

Oh, that's a tough one. I have always thought the a french pedicure looked like you needed your toenails clipped too! The dress is super cute! How about a pearly color on your toes.

I think orange is PERFECT!! LOL. I'm a pedicure girl and I love nail designs so I'd say blue with a design. I really nice silver would be great too. Good luck. I usually just sit in the chair and say surprise me.

The focus should be on your pretty face; not your nails! But I know what you mean; you would like pretty nails to go with that pretty shoes. A french pedicure has always looked like a french pedicure to me, so I still love it, but I like simple colors and tones.

I pick orange.

What about just a pretty pink (either hot pink or bubble gum colored)

Where is the dress from? Love it! I'm with Kmama and say pink!

I pick pink... and I want to know where the dress is from? It's beautiful!

The dress is fantastic. I agree with those that said pink.

I knew there was a reason I liked you. (You know, apart from the working mom of twins with a sense of humour thing.) I was in the elevator with a woman with French manicured toenails and thought, "You know, that just makes you look like you need to cut your nails."

Pink. Pink, pink, pink. Of course, when you're as brown as me, brown and maroon serve the same purpose, but that might be a bit much for you.

i think an aquamarine polish would be pretty. something on the darker side of it, cause aqua can be pretty pale. it's lighter than your dress, but i think with the shoes, it would look kind of classy. opi used to make a color called sedona seduction. i don't know that they still make it, but if you google it, you can at least see what shade it is and maybe find something similar.

I'm SOOO with you...I totally don't get women who do french pedicures! Toe nails shouldn't be that long!

I'm sure you will look stunning, no matter! :)

no blue! I reckon a coral-y peachy colour.

I'd vote for pale pink - goes with anything!

Hot pink or my old standard: beige with a shiny coat of light pink so they look nice, but not too flashy. :)

I hope you included a flower. And I love french tips - on toes or fingers.

And YES, YES! to a sprakly barrette!

And those cuticle cutters are just mean!

A light pink to go with the sparkly barrette!!

Or, a medium blue to go with the dress and no barrette.

You've got options - and certainly whatever you pick (even the orange) you will look fabulous!!

Are we talking like orange orange or coral orange or flourescent orange?

Go with whatever looks good to you. I always switch my color up (and yes, I do them myself) but right now I have candy pink with white & black stars on the big toes. I'm painting them a different color for my 5K on Saturday. Maybe I'll choose orange with a blue flower.

Have fun at the wedding.

Run on.

Pink, a lovely pretty pale pink.

And I think the EXACT same thing whenever I see someone with a French manicure on their toes LOL

Hmmm, personally I love any shade of red on my toenails but I get what you mean about the patriotic theme! Maybe a light pink??

Whatever you pick, you're gonna be a total knock out!!!

Call me crazy, but I'd go with orange. Since it's on the opposite end of the spectrum from blue, it's a complimentary color. Maybe go for a pearly orange, or with a slightly pinkish tone to make it more ladylike. Love that dress!!

I always paint my toes wacky colors - So I'd pick orange just for fun but now you have to tell us what color you did pick and how fabulous your toes were! :0)

How fun! Both the pedicure and the wedding! I LOVE painting my toenails a coral color during the warm months and I think it would go really well with your dress (which is beautiful, by the way)!
